Job summary
Establish channel partnerships that enable the sale of Zep hardware and Zep Compatible PV modules in European markets with a primary emphasis on the German market. Candidate will drive both the licensing and hardware sales sides of the business with the ultimate goal of signing Licensees and then pairing those Licensees with channel partners who will purchase Zep Compatible PV modules from the Licensee and who will purchase Zep hardware from Zep Solar. These efforts may originate from contact with a potential distribution partner who would like a source for Zep Compatible PV modules, from a PV module manufacturer who would like to become a Licensee and establish or strengthen a relationship with a potential Zep hardware distributor, or from a company who is engaged in both distribution and PV module manufacturing.
Candidate will work from home or from a private office until the first account generates revenue. Once revenue is established, candidate will set up a small sales office and hire support staff as deemed necessary at that time with the ultimate goal of building a satellite Zep Solar office in Germany with full sales, marketing, and technical support functions.
Summary of essential job functions
- Close licensing deals with PV module manufacturers.
- Close distribution deals with distributors.
- Develop projects that use the Zep System.
- Build a satellite Zep Solar office in Germany.
Minimum requirements
- 10 years of experience in executive level business management
- 3 years of experience in the European PV market
- German speaking
- German resident

Minimum Qualifications:
-Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
-2 to 3 years PV industry/technical support experience
-CAD skills – proficient in AutoCAD or Vector Works
-Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written
-Professional and able to work independently and as a team player
-Exceptional computer skills (Excel, PPT, Vector Works, etc)
Desired Skills:
-NABCEP Certified PV Installer
-PV system design and hands on installation experience, especially with various PV mounting systems
-Knowledge of ASCE 7-05 and the IBC
-Knowledge of Salesforce
Primary Duties:
-Provide world-class technical support to all customers and strategic partners in the US and Canada
-Document and Track all customer communications through CRM
-Create analysis of data to identify key areas for product and support improvement
-Develop processes and procedures for customer focused technical support
-Work closely with the manufacturing and product development teams to provide and co-ordinate feedback on the company’s product offerings, resolve any technical issues and help in defining the requirements for new products.
-Assist in the development of new customer-facing design tools
-Create and distribute technical documents and materials
-Provide on-site field support as needed for advanced escalations

Experience with machining and manufacturing processes, specifically
manufacture of st. steel/aluminum screw machine parts from metal bar/block stock
Knowledge of and experience with different metals and alloys
